Planning a wedding can be a stressful event, we have tried to answer all the questions you may have to save you some time and energy.

Where are you located?

Cairns Secret Garden is located on acerage in Brinsmead. Approximately 10 minutes from the CBD

Can we organise an inspection?

Yes of course we can. Inspections are by appointment. We recommend viewing the garden after 2pm.

How many can the garden fit?

We have very comfortably fit 110 in the garden.

What about post ceremony drinks?

Yes, this is a lovely option for your guests before they move to your reception. We require our couples to have a licensed mobile drinks bar with the to serve your drinks. These vans allow you to supply your drinks and they provide RSA service. This is the perfect way to finish your ceremony and enjoy a little more time in the garden with your family and friends.

Can we have our reception here?

We are primarily a ceremony location, Please contact us directly to disuss this.

What about parking?

The parking is in the street. Many guests choose to Uber or arrive by taxi. Being close to the city, the fees are reasonable.

Is the garden wheelchair accessible?

Yes. The garden is easily accessed and with the exception of one very small step is mostly flat. We are also on site and available to help with anyone who needs it.

What about accomodation nearby?

Cairns CBD is about 10 minutes drive away and has many hotel options available. Palm Cove is also 18 minutes drive from the Garden and also has many beautiful accomodation options.

Can our dog be apart of the ceremony?

Yes of course. We are dog people too! We just ask this is please organised with us prior to booking. We ask that your dog be appropriately restrained while on our property and someone be responsible for him/her for the entire time.

What support will I receive from Secret Garden staff?

Mike and Julie-Ann will be on site for your wedding. Depending on the package you choose, we will be either setting up the garden or meeting your suppliers to show them where to go. We will be present to usher your guests and direct your vendors if they are not familiar with the garden. We are also happy to help with the bridal parties entrance and start of the ceremony, if you wish. We are available either by phone or email to answer enquiries from either yourselves or your vendors.

Do you have a wet weather option?

Yes. We will have to move the wedding up to our house. We have a very large verandah high in the tree tops which we will make available in the event that the garden can't be used.

What about pack up?

If you have booked our premium packages we will organise pack up after you leave. If you have brought or hired any off site furniture or styling we ask that it be taken down and removed promptly at the finish of your wedding

Can we use confetti?

Yes, but we ask that you only use bio-degradable confetti or flower petals
